A personal tool for scheduling photo posts to one TikTok account.
postiny renders photo-carousel slides from plain text, keeps them in a local review queue, and — once the owner approves a post — uploads it as a draft to their own TikTok account through the official Content Posting API. The owner then opens the TikTok app, picks a sound, and publishes.
One person: the owner of this installation. There is no sign-up, no user accounts, and no public service. It runs locally on the owner's own computer.
Authorisation uses TikTok's official Login Kit, so the tool never sees the
account password. It requests only user.info.basic and
video.upload — enough to place drafts on the owner's own account,
and nothing that can read or change anyone else's content.
TikTok's photo-post endpoint fetches images from a public URL rather than
accepting a file upload. Images awaiting posting are therefore served under
/media/ on this domain. They contain only content the owner intends
to publish.
